Dr. Nora Fairchild is a guest character on Frasier. She is portrayed by Christine Baranski.

Nora is asked to have her own show on KACL, and initially fawns over Frasier, who supports her getting the job. However, Nora, having lied and manipulated Frasier into giving her the job recommendation, subsequently revealed herself to be an extremely cruel, condescending and extremist-conservative woman with a low opinion on therapy, and implied to be religiously fanatical (as she says the people who don't follow her advice are going to Hell). After Kenny Daly approved her show due to her ratings, Frasier initially intended on making peace with Dr. Nora for the sake of their shows and callers, but Nora refused, preferring to undermine Frasier at any opportunity, causing him to denounce her for her lunacy. Frasier also learned later that Dr. Nora had no medical background and was a gym teacher before applying for her job at KACL, and in the hopes of showing Nora that therapy works, tried to get Nora to make peace with her mother, whom she had mentioned as having cut out of her life. After Mrs. Mulhern comes to the station at Frasier's request, she verbally berates her daughter to everyone's shock, locking Frasier out so he can't intervene. She also states that Nora stole most of her money and was paid to leave town by her ex-boyfriend's family and wants a cut of Nora's payments, causing Nora to run screaming from the booth after saying Frasier went too far, whereupon she flees from her show while being chased by her mother, never to be seen again.
