Trivia[]
- Niles hosting the show is foreshadowed in "Author, Author".
- Celebrity voices calling into Frasier's program include Mary Tyler Moore, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Patricia Hearst, Tommy Hilfiger, Garry Trudeau and San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Steve Young.
- While under the belief that Gil is trying to steal his time slot, Frasier says that Gil had a hand in Bonnie Weems' car show being banished to the 12AM to 4AM timeslot after Gil had offered to fill in for her. Coincidentally, Frasier and Roz will later have a similar incident happen to them in She's The Boss when Kate Costas takes over as station manager and banishes them to the overnight slot after Frasier refuses her suggestion to do theme shows.
- This is the first time that Niles fills in for Frasier on his radio show (and thus, the first time Frasier's show is hosted by someone other than himself). Niles will fill in for Frasier a second time in season four's Head Game. However, in that episode, Frasier only appears for the first few minutes before being absent completely.
- In this episode, Fraiser nearly lets it slip to Daphne that Niles has feelings for her before making Daphne go the drugstore to get him medication for his illness. Ironically, when Frasier really does reveal the secret to Daphne in Back Talk, he is doped up on pain killers for his back.
- This is the first episode in which Frasier's bedroom is shown.
