Synopsis[]
Freddy stretches himself to be there for Frasier, who's coping with Martin's death by throwing a lavish party, and Eve, who's hiding out at home dealing with her own loss.
Plot Summary[]
On Christmas Eve, Freddy stretches himself to be there for Frasier, who's coping with Martin's death by throwing a lavish party, and Eve, who's hiding out at home dealing with her own loss. Alan and David come up with a surprisingly fun party game, while Olivia finds herself drawn into a charming Christmas cliché with one of Freddy's firefighter friends. When Frasier hits a breaking point, Freddy's gift finally arrives in the form of Frasier's dear friend Roz Doyle.

Trivia[]
- Filming for this episode, and first season of Frasier, wrapped on May 2, 2023.
- Director Kelsey Grammer pre-shot several scenes prior to filming night, so that the writers could be available for part of their episode's taping. No staff writers were on set the night of filming, due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, which began on May 1.
- The 2023 sitcom Frasier was renewed for a second season in February 2024.
- Niles does not physically appear in the episode, but communicates with Frasier via cellphone. Frasier shows Freddy a text message he received from Niles, saying: "It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except Frasier who went overboard and ruined the eggnog". Later, Frasier gets a call from Niles, and attempts to cover up his failed lavish party as a "big hit", as he looks at the Christmas Goose in the kitchen (due to a mishap, he instead got a wild live goose delivered). As the goose honks, he lies that it's the Christmas Clown that just arrived and ends the call.
- Alice Doyle is briefly mentioned in the episode, when Roz tells Frasier that Alice has been going steady with her current boyfriend for four years now and is spending the Christmas with his family.
