Season 4 of American comedy series Frasier aired on NBC television network.

Summary

The fourth season primarily focuses on the romantic relationships of the main characters.

In the season premiere, Daphne gets a blast from the past when her ex-fiancée comes to town for a visit. Planning to let him down gently, Daphne pretends to be married to Niles but things get complicated when Roz (who is supposed to be Frasier’s “wife,” “Maris”) soon gets the hots for Clive and Daphne reconsidering her own feelings upon finding out that he is now successful. Ultimately, the charade falls apart when Clive calls them all “unfortunate human beings.”

Now separated from Maris, Niles finds himself as a bachelor much like his brother. Niles first has a short-lived romance with a woman named Adelle, at the same time Daphne has one with a Niles doppelganger. Niles and Frasier also take a shot in the dark and meet two interior decorators and decide to take them to a cabin in the country for the weekend, only for a series of errors to occur and ruin the weekend.

In other events, Martin becomes involved with Sherry Dempsey, whom both the boys and Daphne come to dislike, Niles moves into a luxurious new apartment, Roz takes a shot at becoming a host on KACL, the family travel to Boston to celebrate Thanksgiving with Lilith, Frasier and Niles discover that they were named after lab rats and Niles, while filling in for Frasier doing his radio show, becomes somewhat of folk hero when he (or rather, his hair) helps a Sonics player break a slump.
