Taking Liberties is the 5th episode of Season 8 of Frasier.
Synopsis[]
VICTOR GARBER ('TITANIC') GUEST-STARS AS FRASIER'S BUTLER -- Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) leaps to hire a newly available butler (guest star Victor Garber, "Titanic," "Godspell") -- a true gentleman's gentleman -- who spoils everyone in the household and offers Frasier some sage advice in planning a soiree in his home to charm enough snobbish opera board members so that he too might be invited to join. However, Daphne (Jane Leeves) wonders aloud if she and Niles (David Hyde Pierce) will ever be able to declare their love and she is further demoralized when Mel (Jane Adams) shows up at Frasier's party, forcing Niles to play along as her dutiful husband.
