The Late Dr. Crane is the 8th episode of Season 7 of Frasier.
Synopsis
NEWS FLASH! REPORTS OF FRASIER'S DEATH ARE GREATLY EXAGGERATED -- When a man temporarily poses as Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) and suddenly drops dead, local media reports lament the popular radio host's "passing," but the embarrassing mixup allows Frasier to read his own obituary and ponder his life's unfulfilled hopes and dreams. Meanwhile, Niles (David Hyde Pierce) confronts the prohibitively expensive plastic surgeon (guest star Jane Adams) who re-puttied his ex-wife's face -- but he is so entranced when he meets her that he allows the doctor to work her magic on his own mug.
